Hello, Tower of God Players.
First of all, we want to say a big thank you to everyone showing their love and support for Tower of God: Great Journey since our first trailer reveal.
It was your support and enthusiasm that fueled us to get the game ready for everyone. We’ve been moved and overwhelmed by the fan reaction and feedback since the launch. We appreciate all the feedback on the game and we are reading every single one of them to inform our future plans.
While we do want to deliver content as fast as we can, quality and stability is our utmost priority. We ask for your patience as we unveil to you guys what’s to come in the future.
Here is what we are planning in the near future for Tower of God: Great Journey in February.
<Our Intention on Game Progression>
We agree with the sentiment some players are feeling that the initial rewards aren’t enough.
The global version of Tower of God: Great Journey was designed where Bam and his teammates can earn more varied rewards continually as the characters progressed. As an example, phase 4 of the Administrator's Trial actually does give players a chance to earn Legendary grade gears. In addition, we are planning to add new rewards through multiple contents in March.
That’s not all. We want to alleviate the feeling of slow progression some players are experiencing through different reward system in-game and events so the progression is snappier.
<Upcoming Improvements>
- Through the newbie guide mission, players will receive constant tips and directions along with rewards such as Gold or Summon Tickets.
- We’ve been monitoring the in-game economy and plan on injecting more Gold into the game. Gold from defeating Gigantic bosses from Administrator’s Trials will be increased. Also, the White Armored Eel/Red Armored Eel rewards will now include Common and Uncommon Transcend Stones. This in turn will help players with God's Inventory and the team’s overall progression.
- Some players have been experiencing bottlenecks on certain levels and we are going to help these players by balancing the level requirements for certain story chapters. We are also looking at adjusting difficulties on Tower of Trial areas so the increase is a but more gradual. We think this will help players feel the fulfillment of progression and challenges a bit more manageable.
- We are also going to be cautiously approach character skill balances. We are going to be focusing on some tank skills not working as intended for certain characters. This will help bring further attack/defense balance to the game. Yuri Ha will be the first character receiving the improvements. Everyone will have an opportunity to check the character out through this week’s event.
- Many quality-of-live improvements are being worked on at the moment such as providing a manual text scroll feature so players have plenty of time to soak in the story. The auto scroll function will be offered as well. We realize chat spam is getting in the way of having a pleasant community experience in-game so anti-spam feature and chat-block feature will be added once they are ready to go. Real-time translations on system-wide announcements is also being prepared as well.
